Have you or someone you care for been recently diagnosed with dementia?

The Resilient Living Series is designed for people living with dementia and their family, friends, and care partners. This complimentary series is offered in-person, virtually, and on-demand to provide a foundational understanding of dementia and practical ways to adapt and become more resilient.

Guidance and resources on key topics including emotional support, health and wellness, social and meaningful engagement, and planning will be explored over each 5-week series. Participants living with dementia will leave with more resources to live well, and spouses, family, and friends will leave with a clearer understanding of what effective communication and support look like as well as tools to build their confidence and preparedness when stepping into a role as a care partner.

Week 1: Understanding People and Dementia
Week 2: New Ways of Relating: Empathy, Communication, and Navigating Symptoms
Week 3: Building Resilience and Adapting
Week 4: Planning
Week 5: Staying Healthy and Engaged

Individuals experiencing mild to moderate disability, friends, and family members

Open to:
Anyone interested better understanding dementia

Location: Hybrid sessions (in-person at Resilient Living Center or Virtual) & On-Demand pre-recorded sessions anytime

Duration: Once per week  for 1.5 Hours

Purpose:  Gain a better understanding of the basics of dementia and the supports and services available
