Art for Beginners
In this program, we will explore the works of various influential artists, including Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, and Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, among others. We will create beautiful masterpieces using a diverse range of mediums such as Cray Pas, watercolor, acrylic paints, and acrylic ink. Additionally, we will learn techniques for blending and transporting colors, and how to bring all the compositional elements together to create cohesive and compelling artworks. This journey will not only introduce you to different artistic styles and techniques but also provide hands-on experience in crafting your own unique pieces.

CST has been found to improve general cognitive functioning, language comprehension and production, and quality of life. Each CST session is designed to stimulate thinking and memory, and connect with others in a fun, social, and relaxed atmosphere. The sessions follow a general theme, with activities chosen based on the interests of the group. Groups are limited to 6-8 participants. Our approach to brain fitness is an evidence-based practice referred to as Cognitive Stimulation Therapy and is delivered by LiveWell’s trained dementia specialists.

Fitness for Every Day
Participate in this small group format to explore all the innovative ways to strengthen large and small muscle groups, with pushing, pulling, and squatting movements. As a participant in this group, you’ll receive curated volunteer experiences designed for people living with cognitive change to engage in volunteerism with local community-based organizations. Examples of volunteer opportunities participants might engage in include writing in or drawing pictures on cards for children who have cancer, or making dog or cat treats for the Humane Society! Each session will be designed for you to follow your passions while giving back to others! All volunteer activities will take place at LiveWell.
