This engaging, hands-on presentation invites participants to explore the many ways in which different modes of travel have transported people’s lives – via land, sea, and air. Using captivating images from our collection, familiar sounds, and hands-on objects related to transportation, we’ll embark together on a journey of discovery, while reflecting upon our own individual experiences of travel. This conversation-based program is best suited to individuals with early to mid-stage dementia.

Painting Mandalas provides a pathway to inner harmony and completeness. Through creative expression, mindfulness, symbolism, community support and personal growth, individuals can find solace, meaning and resilience. During this workshop you will learn the history of Mandalas and their purpose. You will be brought through a transformative practice of intention setting, inner balance and awareness as you learn specific techniques for creating dot mandala paintings. Participants will follow step by step directions and use eye/hand coordination to create and take home an individual piece.

TimeSlips Program

Led by Cori Zuppardi of TheKey
TimeSlips is a creative program designed to engage individuals, particularly those with dementia, through storytelling and imagination. Cori will guide participants using open-ended prompts to encourage expression without the need for factual recall. The program fosters social interaction, boosts emotional well-being, and reduces feelings of isolation by promoting creativity and communication.

Milk, Cookies & Bedtime Tales-An Intergenerational Event

Join us for a special intergenerational event filled with fun and cozy moments! Come dressed in your favorite PJs, bring a stuffy, and enjoy a heartwarming evening together. This event is perfect for children ages 6 and under, though older siblings are welcome. Parental supervision is required.
The evening’s agenda includes:
6:00-6:30 PM Storytime: Gather around for a storytelling session.
6:30-6:45 PM Milk and Cookies: Enjoy a tasty treat with milk (a gluten-free option will be available) to cap off the evening.
Please note that registration is required. Be sure to include the number of children attending and their ages. We can’t wait to see you there!
