Amazing things happen when people living with dementia share their stories.
Join us for this reader’s theater performance created and performed by people living with dementia. To Whom I May Concern® challenges beliefs about dementia and invites us to join a movement to build a more dementia friendly Connecticut.
To Whom I May Concern® is an interactive theater program that amplifies the voices of people who have been diagnosed with a progressive brain illness such as Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Using their own words, these individuals share their stories and experiences before live audiences.
During performances, family members hear their loved one’s stories, often for the first time. Community members understand how to integrate people with dementia into their communities. Professionals transform their work by listening to and understanding the lived experience of dementia.
“So important to overcome the fear factor of diagnosis and the inability to discuss.”
